40th Class Reunion Was Held: Weekend of July 3rd - 5th, 2009 Where: Old High School, Iowa Falls, Iowa We had a great 40th Reunion filled with a lot of activities. We started Friday with a sit down dinner, followed by a dance that broke up at 1:00 AM Saturday. There was a Silent Auction where posters and mementos from the the 60s were auctioned. On Saturday we had a memorial service in memory of our 14 fallen classmates which touched the hearts of everyone who attended. There was not a dry eye in the place. The rest of Saturday found a lunch at the Princess Cafe in downtown Iowa Falls, a walking tour from the Old High school to downtown, and a tour of the new museum housed in the old Carnegie library. Saturday afternoon we had a wine and cheese tasting party and Saturday night was filled with fireworks. Sunday morning found the class of 1969 on the Iowa River enjoying a great view with perfect weather and also enjoying a continental breakfast sponsored by TLC of Palmetto, Florida. On Sunday there was a picnic in Foster Park where again we ate and had a chance to visit with our classmates. Those who attended, had a wonderful time and each activity was memorable. While we were in town people were commenting on the Des Moines Register coverage.
