Biographical Information:
After graduation, I attended UNI, receiving my BA in Education, with a Spanish major and German minor, in 1973. I moved to Cedar Rapids, where I substitute taught and then worked as an elementary school media secretary for 3 years before returning to UNI for an MA in Library Science. From 1977-1980, I was a K-12 library at B-G-M High School in Brooklyn, Iowa, working for Fred Matters (remember him?). Since 1980, I was the librarian at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC), in Mason City. I share a home with 3 cats (actually, they share their home with me!). Besides work, I serve on the Board and Volunteer Relations Committee for our local Habitat for Humanity affiliate and am active in my church, politics, our local UNI alumni association, and Delta Kappa Gamma (Key Women Educators) Society International. In my spare time, I like to read, surf the Internet, travel, and spoil my siblings' kids and grandkids.
