I've lived in Iowa City since 1974 and it is home. I've been at University Hospitals for 20 years doing computer applications work. It's interesting, and it suits me. I live with my husband, Gary, daughter, Alice and two ornery cats, Tabby and Tilly. Alice is leaving us to go to college in the fall at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. I will miss her!! But we have our two grandkids, Isabelle and Logan, here in town who are so cute and will have to take up the slack. When I'm not playing with the kids, I like to read a lot and hang out at my favorite coffee shop. When I was a kid in the 50's I wanted to grow up to be a beatnik, and I pretty much still do. Except I like fiction rather than poetry. I also like to travel. Ann (Gough Iverson Sullivan) and I are planning a trip to Greece this summer with our daughters to visit the places where my father and her grandparents were born. We are quite excited - it's a life-long dream! It's fun to remember the 60's and keep in touch with those who knew us back when - thanks to those who help make it happen. - Linda |
