I was a professional musician for 12 years after graduating. I had my own band in Iowa for 9 years. I moved to Florida in November of 1979 and continued to
play as a sideman in several groups for the next three years. I went to college in 1981 and graduated in 1984 with a degree in computer science. In 1983 I took
a job at a large newspaper, the St. Petersburg Times, where I worked for over 13 years. I then spent a little over a year in California and Colorado before
moving back to Florida. I've been at Jabil for over 8 years. Our main business is building electronic circuit boards for other companies; we build them and
they put their names on them. For example we build circuit boards for Nokia phones, Cisco routers, HP printers and Philips televisions to name a few. We
have over 50,000 employees in over 40 plants around the world. In my work I have been fortunate to have been able to travel quite a bit. I've been to China, Malaysia, India and several countries in Europe in addition to
our plants in Mexico and the United States. It's been interesting but it was a lot more fun playing rock and roll.
