Who
are the true-blue, all-the-way-through students? In other words, who,
in our graduating class, can say they went all the way from kindergarten
through 12th grade in the Iowa Falls School System? I'd like to know
for those who aren't in this elite group, when they moved to Iowa Falls,
and what grade they started in the school system. I know Bonnie McEwan,
Linda Freeman, and myself fall in this category. In fact, let's take it
a step further and see who was actually born in Iowa Falls before
beginning school. I, for one, am one of those elite :) !!!

I'm not an elite - moved to Iowa Falls when I was 10 in 1961 -
joined 4th grade at Central 1/2 way through the year. |

I was
born in Iowa Falls and went all through school-even two years at ECC! I
attended two elementary schools- West and Blanche Stoddard.

| Bonnie McEwan |
I
remember Charles Clemons was in my Kindergarten class although I do not
know if he was born in Iowa Falls. One thing that I fondly remember
about him is he stated in class that he would be the first man on the
moon.

Sorry,
but during the Al Bell era, I was honing my entrepreneurial skills on my
pen repair business at North Side in Hampton. 7th and 8th grades were a
stint at the Bradford School of higher education, then on to an arrival
at IF Junior High at the beginning of 9th grade. Going from one
classmate to about 160; talk about culture shock! And the indoor
toilets! Wow. I have nothing from that era that compares to Al Bell
though. Sounds like a great character. There should be a corner on our
web site dedicated to his memory where those that did have that pleasure
can post memories, it sounds like. (There I go creating work for Robert
again.)

I was
born in Iowa Falls, and went to school all 100 years there. (What do
you mean, it wasn't 100 years? It seemed like it!)

I
arrived in I.F. for 9th grade. I'm sure everyone remembers me that
winter when I got sent home for wearing a granny dress -- I was told it
was too long and, therefore, disruptive to the educational environment.
Hey, I was just trying to keep warm, since the girls weren't allowed to
wear pants of any kind and I was freezing my you-know-what off. So I
went home to change into a mini skirt; talk about disruptive! I wish I
had all the memories you forevers have -- in fact, if I think real hard,
maybe I was there after all.... :-) Wait a minute, my son was born in
Iowa Falls. Does that count??
