FROM JEFF ROYER:  My wife Ruthann and me (third and fourth from the left) dipping our tires in the Mississippi River in LeClaire, Iowa, at the completion of RAGBRAI XXXVI on July 26, 2008.  The others in the photo are professors from the business college at the University of Nebraska who rode with our group.  This was my second RAGBRAI and Ruthann's first.  Our children are younger.  Our daughter Caisa will be entering Iowa State this fall as a psychology major.  Our son Chris is a senior in international studies at the University of Nebraska and will be spending fall semester studying at Senshu University in Tokyo.
