Les Aasheim

Mr. Aasheim taught 9^th grade Social Studies and 8^th and 9^th grade Typing at Iowa Falls Junior High School from 1963 to 1969.  He also coached 9^th grade basketball.  He served as principal of Estherville Junior High from 1969 to 1975, principal of Oelwein Junior High from 1975 to 1977 and as principal of Stilwell Junior High in West Des Moines from 1977 until his retirement in 1999.  He served on the Clive City Council and since 2001 has been Mayor of Clive, Iowa.  He and Mrs. Aasheim have two sons, two daughters and six grandchildren.  He likes to fly fish, hike, travel, bike and spend time with the grandchildren.  He writes that they have many fond memories of Iowa Falls and very much enjoyed the time they taught and lived there.
